FAQ

What if I don’t know what technique to choose for my appointment?

That’s totally fine as this is very common. You can book any of the services available but we will decide together which one is best for you. We will discuss what is optimal for your skin type and daily activity and of course, take into consideration the brow look you want to achieve.

Do you do consultations?

Consultations are usually done on the day of the service. Enough time is booked for discussion of goals, shape, color, etc. If you have prior tattooing, please book an in person consultation prior to booking or send an email with photos in bright lighting.

I have oily skin. Will microblading work for me?

If you have oily skin, microblading is typically not favorable for you as the healed results are not guaranteed to be crisp. Additionally, any clients with a combination of rosacea and extremely thin skin may have weak results which can cause scarring to the skin.

I care about the integrity of my clients skin and retention of the work I perform so I would not recommend it.

How long do I need to avoid sun?

During the healing process, you should avoid direct sunlight. If you have to be outside, it is imperative that you wear a hat to protect your brows. After your brows are healed, you should be applying SPF on them to avoid blurring the hair strokes and your brows turning gray.

When can I work out again?

No sweating, exercising, or any strenuous activity for 7-10 days after your appointment. You may engage in light activity that will not increase in your heart rate – this is important to avoid swelling. Any sweating will pull the color pigment from the fresh tattoo and you will essentially give yourself a removal. Please take care of your investment!

Do people tip for this service?

Tips are never expected but always appreciated.

Why is it not letting me book my appointment?

In order for me to maintain a healthy work-life balance, I only book 6 months in advance! With constant changes in my work life coupled with my personal life, keeping up can be challenging. By booking 6 months in advance, this also helps avoid rescheduling in the future.

Does it hurt?

The answer to this is subjective and varies depending on who you ask! However, overall- pain is minimal and tolerable. I typically (about 90% of the time) use a topical numbing agent to keep you comfortable. After the first and second day, the pain is comparable to what a sunburn feels like.

Can I wear makeup to my appointment?

Of course , but I’ll probably wipe a majority off on the forehead area. Feel free to bring your makeup to touch up with for pictures or if you’re going out after!
Please arrive with your brows filled in so I can see your regular daily brow look

How long will my appointment take?

Approximately 2 hours from start to finish

how long does it last without touch ups?

Everyone fades differently based on daily activity, skincare regimen, and how well aftercare was followed.

How often do I need touch ups?

After your perfecting session, I won’t see you for at least 12 months! I rely on your discretion on when you “need” a touch up. If you are unsure, you are welcome to reach out to me! For anyone who has powder brows, normal touch up timing is about 18-24 months.
